Let's analyze attached pictures.
In all four shots part of the face shows distortion.
In pictures 1,2,3 it is the forehead and in picture 4 right side of the face.
In picture 2 and 3 LED light from the phone gives you the unnatural glare on forehead.
Here are the tips:
1. Shoot from the distance of about 1.5 m and use zoom in feature.
2. Shoot in ambient dispersed light
3. Avoid back light
